I am pleased to announce that I was recently promoted to Associate Professor with tenure. I look forward to continuing my research with NC State’s fantastic PhD students and collaborating with its world-class researchers. I am very fortunate to be a member of NC State’s Department of Statistics.
I was voted to be SPES Chair-Elect in 2023, followed by SPES Chair in 2024. I look forward to continuing my service to SPES!
My paper “Optimal EMG placement for a robotic prosthesis controller with sequential, adaptive functional estimation (SAFE)” was given the 2021 ASA SPES Award for excellence in partnerships among statisticians, scientists, and engineers across the many disciplines encompassed by the physical and engineering sciences. The award will be announced at the ASA SPES mixer.
